Thomas, David N.
Formerly an academic and a senior manager, David Thomas is now a freelance writer and researcher, living in Ciliau Aeron, west Wales. He has published widely, including several books on the development of communities. He lectures in a number of European countries, and has been a Council of Europe Fellow.
Thomas, Edward
Edward Thomas was born in Abercraf, Swansea Valley and is a founder member and artistic director of Y Cwmni Cyf Theatre in Cardiff. He has acted, written and directed extensively for radio, film, television and the theatre. In 1993 he won an Arts Foundation Fellowship and the BBC Writer of the Year Award. House Of America won a Time Out/01 For London Award in 1989. Flowers Of The Dead Red Sea has been adapted for BBC Radio 3 Drama and was broadcast in June, 1992 and was also adapted as a libretto for composer John Hardy whose piece was produced by Music Theatre Wales in March, 1993.

Born in south Wales, Frances Thomas now lives in London. She is the author of several books for children and adults.
Thomas, Gwyn
Gwyn Thomas (1913 - 1981) was a novelist, playwright, broadcaster and raconteur who, by the time of his early death, was widely admired as all these things, in addition to being a much-loved columnist in Punch. Once described as ’the greatest talker in the world’ he was the veteran entertainer of The Brains Trust and Tonight, and a moving commentator on the Aberfan disaster. A former schoolmaster turned novelist turned programme maker, Thomas’s friends included Richard Burton, Jack Hylton, Stanley Baker, Sam Wannamaker and Donald Houston.
Thomas, M. Wynn
M. Wynn Thomas is Professor of English at University of Wales, Swansea and an indefatigible promotor of Welsh writing in both languages. In addition to publishing books on many authors and aspects of writing in Wales, he is also an expert on Walt Whitman.
Thomas, R.S.
R.S. Thomas (1913-2000) was one of the leading poets in post-war Britain, the foremost English language poet in Wales and the outstanding religious poet of his time. The author of over twenty collections of poetry he was nominated for the Nobel Prize.
Tripp, John
John Tripp (1927-1986) was born in Bargoed, Glamorgan. He was a journalist with the BBC, Press Officer at the Indonesian Embassy and an information officer at the Central Office of Information in a varied career. Returning to Wales in the late 1960s he worked as a freelance journalist, and was for some years literary editor of Planet. Tripp was a popular performer of his work, and a leading figure in literary affairs in Wales. A short story writer as well as a poet, his previous books include The Province of Belief, The Inheritance File and Collected Poems (1978). A selection of his poetry has also appeared in the Penguin Modern Poets series
Valentine, Mark
Mark Valentine is on the advisory board of the Arthur Machen Society, and has written and spoken widely about Machen himself and the Decadent literature of the late nineteenth century in general.
Vaughan, Dai
Dai Vaughan is one of the most highly-regarded documentary film editors to have worked in Britain. His previous novels include Moritur and The Cloud Chamber. He is also the author of For Documentary: 12 Essays.
Wack, Amy
Amy Wack was born in Florida and educated at San Diego and Columbia universities. A poet, she now lives in Cardiff and has been Poetry Editor at Seren since 1992.
